Healing Hands Help Hearts Story

Playful, engaging, therapeutic support for children, families and educators.

Healing Hands Help Hearts was established in 2018 by owner and sole practitioner, Alana Perry.

Based in Rushworth, Victoria, Healing Hands Help Hearts supports individuals, families and communities through in-person services across the surrounding region, as well as online, wherever you happen to call home.

At Healing Hands Help Hearts, we believe healing begins with connection. Through connection with ourselves, others, nature and the wisdom of the universe, we create the conditions for growth, resilience and lasting change.

Our offerings provide gentle, compassionate support through play therapy, nervous system education, breathwork and other therapeutic experiences. Together, we nurture safety, curiosity and authentic connection, supporting each person to reconnect with who they are and intentionally create a life of greater joy, meaning and wellbeing.

🌸 Meet Alana 🌸

The Journey that bought me here.

Hello and welcome,

I'm so glad you found your way here.

Before we go any further, let's take a moment to pause and breathe. One gentle, long, slow, full breath in... and out... through your nose.

Now, just land.

I'm sure it's been a journey to get here. Whether you've arrived through curiosity, challenge, hope, or simply a quiet whisper that something needs to change, I'm grateful our paths have crossed.

Since you're here, I guess you're probably wondering a little about me. Well... here's a little of my journey. Not because it's extraordinary, but because it's shaped the way I see the world and the way I support others.

From as young as I can remember, I've been fascinated by people. I've always felt a deep connection to emotions and an awareness of the feeling of a space. At the time I didn't have the words for it, but over the years I've come to understand that this is simply part of who I am. I'm deeply sensitive, compassionate and empathetic.

Like many of us, I've also experienced moments in life that felt hard, overwhelming and, at times, downright unfair. Rather than defining me, those experiences deepened my curiosity about people, relationships and what helps us heal.

As I always seemed to be a bit of a "kid magnet," it felt only fitting that my journey began working with children. What started as a career soon became a lifelong passion for understanding development, connection and wellbeing.

Over the years I've continued to seek learning—not only to better support the children, families and communities I work with, but to better understand myself. My journey has woven together early childhood, special education, developmental trauma, play therapy, nervous system education and, more recently, Breathwork Mastery RBM. Each experience has built upon the last, gently shaping both the practitioner and the person I am today.

Yet no training has transformed me more than becoming a mum.

Despite everything I'd learnt, parenting often felt hard. My children lovingly shone a light on all the places where I still had growing to do. They helped me recognise the ways I had been living in survival rather than truly living. They became my greatest teachers.

Understanding my own nervous system became one of the most significant parts of my journey. Step by integrated step, I developed a greater capacity to be with life's challenges, to ask for help when I needed it and to return to connection again and again.

Then Breathwork Mastery RBM brought everything together.

It wasn't just another training or qualification. It became the glue that connected everything I had learnt over the years into an embodied way of living. Life still has its ups and downs—it always will—but today I can hold more, reconnect more quickly and meet myself and my family with greater compassion, curiosity and presence. It is a gift that continues to ripple through my own life, my family and the people I have the privilege of walking alongside.

My hope is that, for a little while at least, I can walk alongside you too.

I don't believe anyone is broken or needs fixing. I believe each of us already holds an incredible capacity for healing, growth and connection. My role isn't to tell you which path to take. It's to hold space, share what has supported me, and gently shine a light when the way ahead feels uncertain.

Some days that light might be a twinkle in the distance. Other days it might be a bright beacon reminding you that you're not walking alone.

I'll celebrate your strengths, hold compassion for your challenges and remain curious about the beautifully imperfect human you already are.

Everyone is welcome here. All of you. All that you are, and all that you are yet to become.

I am a fellow journeyer.

If our paths have crossed, perhaps we're meant to walk this part of the journey together.
